From theory to praxis
I find moments of connection through yoga and movement, mindfulness and meditation, nature, poetry and music
Those can be moments of joy, of compassion or courage and lead to greater connection to myself. By sharing my personal experience, I hope to make the idea of connection more tangible for you. What does building connection look like in real life, on an everyday basis? How can you move from theory to praxis?
I hope my moments of connection may inspire you to seek yours.
Sending Out Sparks of Golden Light
It was from this place of connection, that I was able to turn towards my heart and it’s struggles without judgement and to give it space with each inhale and fill it with light on each exhale.
Everything is in Flow
Everything is in flow always, and I’m along with it

Reconnecting with Movement
There is joy to be found in getting off the couch and move your body, even though you might have to grid your teeth at the beginning.
Staying Emotionally Balanced
By participating in regular movement, breathwork and actively building a connection of body, mind and spirit, I became better at interrupting those negative mental dips and maintain an inner balance.
Who am I Kidding?
What is it that drives me on? The prospect of success, or doing what I love? Why not enjoy the journey.
Moving On & Re-Engaging with Life
I no longer feel like a spectator looking out at others ‘living’. I stepped out from behind the glass and found myself back in the middle of life again.
Down the Rabbit Hole
Just because your inner voice tells you stories about self-doubt and unworthiness it doesn’t mean that’s true. You are not your thoughts, or your feelings...
Expanding throughout Your Body
What an incredible good feeling to expand fully: from the top of your head to the tip of your toe, into every part of your body.
To fill it with breath, to feel it moving, lengthening and gaining strength.

The Sting of Loneliness
When it comes to your private moments of despair, YOU are your best bet to get through.
I invite you to stop running away, and instead face your darkest self. By facing your fears, you bring them into the light and that’s how they become smaller and that’s how your shadows fall behind.
Taking the Foot Off the Gas
What helps me most is to take my foot off the gas, switch gear and allow for a much slower pace to emerge. I park my projects and ambitions without judgement, and instead practise being patient and nurture myself; spending time outdoors, have a cup of tea, read a book, talk to a friend.
Falling in Love with Movement
Starting my practice, feeling all stiff and tired; and then comes this moment when my movements suddenly become more smoothly – my body has warmed up and instead of everything feeling like a chore, it all falls into place and I just love to move.
Where I couldn’t wait for the class to finish, I could now go on - what feels like - forever.
I Belong
It took me a while to learn that the feeling of belonging is one I can cultivate inside myself. Instead of looking for external approval and the affirmation of others that I belong and are invited to play my part, I can turn towards the light of life that is inside of me...
Sharing the Load
I am able to come here, leave my mind outside the front door, and lean into the wisdom, strength and energy of my body: breathing, slowing down, contracting, lengthening, releasing, attending.
My mind gets to rest and I come out, recharged, energised, more balanced, more hopeful, more spacious - less tight.
Becoming Still – Inside
The big, wild, feral, crazy cat I resembled when coming into the studio turned into a sweet, calm, purring cat when coming out.

Who am I?
I am someone, who fought against dragons, who keeps finding ways out of despair.
Someone who has come a long way in finding self-love and happiness.
I Am Worthy
I am part of life’s creation.
Breath is flowing in and out of me, like magic...
Reigniting Your Energy
Lying in Shavasana, totally drenched, but buzzing! Wow – the energy was amazing! I felt so alive, every little part of me was turned on, vibrating. That hour of movement in the hot studio reignited my energy in such a profound way.
That night I fell into bed a different kind of tired! Getting up and moving was totally worth it.
Warrior of Light
Loneliness and despair can not only be felt in your heart, but can roll through you like waves of broken glass...
Healing, Rest & Spaciousness
It felt really nice – healing and comforting. Instead of having to run away or clog down or feel diminished, I was able to extend gratitude, kindness and compassion.
