Moving On & Re-Engaging with Life
Movement, creating heat, breathwork and relaxation have been valuable tools for me in feeling truly connected to myself and to this life.
After COVID there was a time in which I felt almost paralysed when it came to ‘joining life’. I watched people on TV talking about their latest collaborations, book launches and start-up initiatives and felt puzzled - those people clearly had moved on and were re-engaging and pro-active and connected, whereas I felt like living behind a glass panel. I didn’t know how to actively take part in life again. Of course day-to-day activities were running, but how to restart my connection to the wider world, and to live as part of a bigger picture?
By nurturing a connection to myself through yoga, I was able to reignite the fire of feeling alive again and the sensation of disconnection slowly started to disappear.
I no longer feel like a spectator looking out at others ‘living’. I stepped out from behind the glass and found myself back in the middle of life again.
Leaving the experience of living through the pandemic behind and moving on is one of my moments of joy. What moments of joy do you encounter on your journey of re-connection?
