Staying Emotionally Balanced

Since I have stepped up my yoga practise and created a regular weekly routine, it has become easier for me to stay emotionally balanced. Most of the time I no longer question if I feel like going; I go, even if I don’t feel great. And during times that are mentally challenging, this helps hugely.

My mindset used to fluctuate frequently between being focused, positive, driven and energetic, and the state of feeling depleted, robbed of all sense of purpose, feelings of unworthiness and overall hopelessness.

By participating in regular movement, breathwork and actively building a connection of body, mind and spirit, I became better at interrupting those negative mental dips and maintain an inner balance.

This is one of the most important benefits I have gained from having established a regular yoga practice, and one of the top moments of joy for me. I do feel the wobble and I’m aware of the change of mood, but oftentimes, after practice, I feel back on track. What moments of joy do you encounter on your journey of connection?
